
Y'all Come to the Fall Picnic!

The 89th annual SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church Fall Picnic takes place Sunday, September 5, 2010 at the American Legion Park in Shiner, Texas.

Holy Mass celebrated in church at 5:00pm on Saturday, September 4 (Polka Mass) and at 7:30am, 9:30am, and 11:00am (Traditional Latin Mass) on Sunday, September 5. - Dinner served in the air conditioned dining hall from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Plates include THREE MEATS (Shiner picnic stew, fried chicken, and country sausage) and all the trimmings including dessert. Cost per plate is $7.50. Drive thru "plates to go" available from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Shiner Knights of Columbus Hall on State Highway 90A East.
- Fourteen hours of music and dancing in the air conditioned hall includes accordion music by local accordian players from 11:00am to 2:00pm, Shiner Hobo Band from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and the Czechaholics from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Free admission!
- Outside biergarten music: Jack Motley from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and Los Kolaches from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Bring your lawn chairs!
- FREE Dance for children ages 3-11 from 8:00pm to 9:30pm inside old dining hall.
- Dance featuring the Emotions beginning at 8:00pm to 1:00am. $8.00/person admission.
- Country Store with canned and baked goods, kolaches, pigs-in-blanket served from 8:00am until all gone.
- Big Country Auction starts at 12:00pm, cattle auction at 3:00pm
- Raffle prize drawings at 10:00pm
- Bingo from 1:00pm to 5:00pm (merchandise or cash prizes)
- Grocery Wheel from 5:00pm to 8:00pm
- Hamburgers and Hot Dogs
- Cake and Plant Wheels
- Shiner Picnic T-Shirts
- Souvenir Photo Booth
- Water Slide and Kiddie Rides
- Arts and Crafts Booths
