SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church is a community of believers called to worship God and celebrate together the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.  We provide spiritual growth to all and service to the parish and community through evangelization, education and stewardship.  We journey together in faith and love for one another to live out the call of Jesus Christ.

      Two Day event! 

       

      All the traditional Picnic attractions from the past and some new things have

       been added to this years Spring Picnic and promises the be the best.

       

      Come see why people travel far and wide to the Shiner Picnic and

      why it is being called  best Best Picnic around.

       

      Saturday May 26. Pre-Picnic Events

      in the evening at this year’s Picnic include:

      The first ever Shiner Sunset 5 K Run (call 361-235-9443 for more

      information), outside music by Los Kolaches from 6-10

      p.m. The historic beer stand will be open and there will

      be pasta and other food and children’s activities.

       

      Sunday May 27 Picnic Day

      Activities will include the usual line-up of attractions. Including Country Store, Old Fashioned Bingo, Huge Country Auction, Lots of kids games, Best Picnic food around, Plenty of Polka music all day long and  even Texas Country Music to finish off the night. See flyer attached

      New to Picnic Day will be the Annual Rolling Hills of Shiner Motor Cycle Poker Run that begins at 10:30 a.m. (call 361-772-7614 for information)
       

       



       


      NFP Classes to be Offered in Victoria

      Classes in Natural Family Planning, the only morally acceptable means of family planning according to the teachings of sacred Scripture and the Roman Catholic Church, will be offered in Victoria this summer and fall.  Check here for more information.

      We will also help you bring your concerns to church officials outside the diocese if the abuse occurred elsewhere and you now reside in the Diocese of Victoria.
